So, I checked the server list at SoF things to see how many servers were active today. I was amused to see several servers up that would suggest that someone in EHS apparently has something against the current members of the DogHouse. I was amused by this, as childish behavior is quite amusing to me, and figured others may be amused, too. I have a screenshot attached with the server names.

It's this sort of general animosity that keeps me from playing games online. It always sucks when you find a great online game only to have it ruined by other players. The killer thing about it is that these same people probably would never act like this in real life. Anyway, enjoy the server list screen.

Oh, I thought EHS no longer messed with SoF. Does anyone know why they care so much now? Are they just bored? I find the psychology behind it all very fascinating.

Oh, I'm not assuming anything at this point. You're right, though, I don't know the story. I don't need or even want to. I'm not even taking sides. I was merely sharing my amusement. To be honest, I find both sides to be quite irrational and lacking any sort of maturity. I've never understood how such emotional responses could arise from interaction revolving around online games.

I come from a world where games are played for fun. If you don't like the people playing in a certain server, you simply go to another server or host your own. Since people online don't know each other in real life, there is no reason to let mere text get you emotionally charged. But then, I've only ever thought of other players online as NPCs (Non-Player Characters). To take insults personally, when they come from a complete stranger who knows nothing about you, seems somewhat juvenile. Likewise, calling someone a "fat f*cking transexual" or typing out other insults about someone who you know little or nothing about is also a bit childish.

Everyone here needs to keep in mind that almost no one online is exactly what they appear to be. It is the lure of anonymity that appeals to so many. I've known several people that would be aggressively vulgar and abusive online, though they would never be that way in real life. It serves as a release and a way to fulfill fantasy.

In the end, though, I've never understood why people can't just discuss things intelligently, rationally and calmly while trying to understand the other person's situation. Please, try not to be offended by anything I type. I don't know you and you don't know me.

My purpose here was to share what I found to be amusing. These outbursts, disputes and emotionally charged disagreements between gamers are very common and I have always been entertained by them.
